Garlic Green Beans
Serves 6

1# fresh green beans, ends snapped off

2 T olive oil
1 tsp minced garlic


Blanch green beans for 3 minutes in boiling water, strain, rinse to cool.  You can use frozen green beans, but I don’t recommend canned for this dish When ready to prepare, heat olive oil in a skillet and lightly sauté garlic with the green beans to the doneness you want the beans to be- al dente (with a bite or crunch) takes 3-4 minutes. Top with caramelized onions and heat thoroughly.
